As fall and winter approach our vast country and the plummeting temperatures that come along with it, many in Canada start to dream about living on the Westcoast to enjoy the temperate climate Vancouver Island offers. Autumn on the island is an especially beautiful season as our vast array of maple trees offer up their deep crimson hues of red and orange. Sunshine is still abundant and the grass will stay green on the fairways while the snow starts to accumulate on the nearby slopes.
The cooler temperatures tempt the hikers to test the trails and the kayakers are not deterred knowing there will be many days with seas smooth as silk to wile away a few hours hoping to catch a glimpse of a passing pod of Orcas.
The fall has also brought with it a calming of the market. A chance to catch one’s breath after the frenzy of folks wanting to find their piece of tranquility. Setting down roots and experiencing the sensory experience living on Canada’s Westcoast draws so many with a promise of the peacefulness they’re longing for. It is a welcome calm for me as well, providing me with an opportunity to reflect on the unprecedented times we as real estate professionals have experienced and the importance of never forgetting the privelage we have to help and guide our clients through what can be both a stressful yet exhilarating process. I am grateful to my clients that have put their faith and trust in me to lead and advise, listen and learn and to finally settle in and enjoy their many Autumns on the Island.
